Hola Amigos! Just a quick update here. We are currently neck deep in midi information, bright lights and Rock N Roll . Thats right, we are programing and rehearsing the brand new show for the fall tour!! We are brewing up a bunch of new songs, show antics, merchandise and crazy-insane-ness that has never been seen before, (unless you have seen Siegfried and Roy, you know the magicians with the tigers…nevermind) Its going to be great! check out the calendar for dates coming your way.

Hey guys! (I’m referring to the entire human race – not just males). I hope you’re enjoying the onset of summer here in the northern hemisphere. If you’re in the southern hemisphere, well, I’m sorry. Better luck in six months or so. I can tell you that After Edmund are super stoked to hit the heat head on. With summer comes possibility. We’re playing a few key festivals and such. And for the past month we’ve set down to write new material. (Material that, no promises here, might just make it’s way into our concert set as early as next week.) I can tell you that we’ve really been stretched and had relearn how we write since we’ve downsized to a quartet. The good news is everyone’s bringing great ideas to the table and i can say emphatically that AE’s writing the best songs we’ve ever written. They’re fun, genuine, and as catchy as entomologists working on their bug collections while on a four day excursion in the Amazon rain forest. That being said, please mark your calendars for a show near you – that way you can get a taste of the new before it gets old to us. You’d be on the forefront of history – as much as you can be, being that you are from the past. We’ll be announcing dates for the fall tours in July or August. And let me tell you the tours are going to be great. There will be a ton of dates, but we’ll make a big to-do about it when we officially announce so don’t get all wadded up about it just yet.

The Edmunds were fortunate enough to score a day off during a very busy tour schedule while in New Orleans on March 9th. We stopped by the Gumbo Shop for dinner and enjoyed some jambalaya, Chicken Gumbo and Crawfish etouffee…it was a little slice of cajan heaven! After dinner we decided to walk over to Cafe Du Monde for some beignets. During our stroll we happened upon a man standing behind a table filled with wine glasses with varying levels of water in them. This interesting character would wet his fingers and spin them around the edges of the different glasses to create tones and tunes for our listening pleasure. He would ask everyone for requests, one person asked for a Lil Wayne song and it didn’t come as a shock when he said he didn’t know that particular song. He did play Georgia On My Mind for us native Georgians. I never caught his name but he was great at the musical goblets….Rock on Goblet man, rock on.

The Original Hybrid?

After Edmund’s been tour around TX for the past week, and one thing I’ve noticed is that Texans love their cars. (And AE likes looking at their cars too). Recently we’ve come across an ‘09 supped up Challenger, a Lamborghini Diablo and this, the original hybrid car.

Texas! I think Ford should get some royalties for being 30 years ahead of the curve.

Yates here. AE has now launched a new site and we’re going to experiment with keeping you all up to date on our daily lives via this blog (currently down the right side of your screen). We’re going to try to post like mad to give you plenty of stuff to read. we might post photos. videos, gig stories, funny stories, great restaurants, music reviews, and anything else we can think of… We’d love to know your thoughts on our little experiment as well – you can comment on anything we write by clicking the comment link at the bottom of each post.
